Germaine de Capuccini launches cancer therapies designed to restore body and mind

Supplier: Germaine de Capuccini

More Germaine de Capuccini details
The treatments are designed to restore and soothe the mind, body and soul, and use two varieties of holistic obsidiana stones

Spanish skincare specialist Germaine de Capuccini has created a menu of spa and wellness treatments for those undergoing cancer treatments.

The treatments are designed to restore and soothe the mind, body and soul, and use two varieties of holistic obsidiana stones: black and white onyx. The black stones are used warm, while the white stones are ice cold. The stones are used simultaneously to release negative emotions and restore a sense of calm.

Carefully selected products are used to target skin related side effects, including heightened sensitivity and severe dryness, caused by chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

The treatment menu includes the Rose and Honey Harmony Facial, which is designed to intensely nourish dehydrated skin and restore moisture levels, as well as soothe stressed and sensitive skin.

The Aloe and Mint Cooling Body Therapy combines light massage with a soothing body wrap, while the Phytocare Baobab Body Ritual features gentle exfoliation, massage and scalp therapy.

The Calming Hand, Foot and Scalp Therapy and intensively nourishing therapy is designed for those suffering with peripheral neuropathy, and can feature the use of chocolate cream.

"Many oncologists recommend complementary therapies – more to help the mind rather than the body, and these prove that the client feels better in themselves,” says Carole Jones, director of Totally UK, the brand’s UK distributor. "

"We‘ve been working on a small number of therapies that provide the client with a specific light-touch massage along with products that are formulated to deal with the side effects of strong medication and radiotherapy – such as extreme dryness and sensitivity."
