French marine skincare brand Thalgo has unveiled the Silicium Lift collection, complete with five skincare products and a facial fitness tool to help fill in wrinkles, and firm skin and refresh the complexion.

Silicum Lift is the latest evolution of Thalgo’s existing Marine Silicium collection, one of the brand’s most popular anti-ageing ranges.

The new line consists of a serum, a light lifting and firming cream, a rich lifting and firming cream, a night cream, a facial sculpting tool (available in professional and consumer models) and an eye cream.

Caroline Mahe-Lea, general manager of Thalgo Group, told Spa Business that the previous line had been reimagined to meet the new requirements of both the brand’s beauty partners and the end consumer.

“We refreshed the offering with a new cleaner formula and eco-friendly packaging,” she said, “the outcome is a results-driven collection that provides a sensorial experience with a state-of-the-art formula.

“The range has been upgraded to improve performance and efficacy with organic marine silicum, bamboo extract, vitamin C and Thalgo’s patented algae filtrate.”

Silicum is a trace element, and according to the brand, is a major component in the dermal matrix which promotes cell regeneration and revitalisation. It is said to boost fibroblast growth and activate the synthesis of elastin and collagen fibres and hyaluronic acid in the dermis, while protecting them from oxidative attack.

In collaboration with a French company specialising in the culture of fragile micro-algae, Thalgo has co-developed a source of organic marine silicon in a form that is highly absorbable and bio-available for the skin.

With eco-refill options available, the vegan products contain between 91-95 per cent ingredients of natural origin and are packaged in recyclable metallic cardboard packs
sourced from sustainably managed forests.

Launching the Silicum Lifting facial
As part of the launch, Thalgo has developed a professional 60-minute Silicum Lift spa treatment incorporating the new products.

Targeting the face and neck area, the process starts with a thorough cleanse, followed by energising acupressure and a deep massage. Therapists then apply a cryo mask to the upper half of the client’s face for 15 minutes, while they use the facial sculpting tool over the mask to smooth out forehead lines and eye contours. Therapists also conduct a hand massage before the mask is finally removed.

For anti-ageing effectiveness inside and out, face cream and eye cream are applied as the final step, before guests conclude the treatment with Thalgo’s collagen dietary supplement.
