A partnership between Cisco and Real Madrid C.F. will see the club becoming the first in Europe to deploy the Cisco Connected Stadium Wi-Fi solution.
Once the new high density network is installed at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, fans will be able to use their mobile devices and smartphones to access several applications specifically designed to engage with the venue, as well as accessing the internet and social media during the game.
Encouraging fans to use the Connected Stadium Wi-Fi network for internet connectivity will also help to free up cellular networks, allowing spectators to text and call throughout the games, nowadays something of a challenge occasionally.
In addition, Cisco's StadiumVision solution will be employed to bring high-definition video of the game to numerous screens located throughout the stadium, enabling spectators to catch all the action and enjoy exclusive content, even when away from their seats.
