New book guides therapists on fascial dysfunction

Supplier: Fascial Dysfunction: Manual Therapy Approaches

More Fascial Dysfunction: Manual Therapy Approaches details
A new book aims to provide therapists with a guide to all things fascia – a layer of fibrous tissue that surrounds muscles, groups of muscles, blood vessels, and nerves.

The book, entitled Fascial Dysfunction: Manual Therapy Approaches and edited by Leon Chaitow, provides a guide to what the fascia is, how it goes wrong, and how to treat disorders.

Divided into two parts, the first aims to summarise the latest knowledge on fascia and then link it to clinical practice. Specifically looking at fascial function and dysfunction, the chapters provide guidelines on clinical assessment and suggestions for ensuring that treatment approaches achieve their maximum potential in the restoration of normal fascial function. This section comprises five chapters written by Leon Chaitow with one chapter contributed by Tom Myers.

The second part of the book features 15 chapters each written by an internationally recognised clinical expert, with the aim of describing and explaining a technique which has been proven to be effective in the treatment of fascial dysfunction.
